Barbara Kosowski has lived in the Naperville/Downers Grove area for the past 40 years. She attended Benet Academy and received her Bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University with a Business Marketing major. Always having a desire to teach, Barbara received a Master of Arts in teaching degree from National-Louis University. She has been teaching for the past 16 years. This is Barbara's 5th year at Saints Peter and Paul School. She feels blessed to be in a Catholic school community. She is currently teaching 5th grade math, reading and language arts.
Barbara resides in Downers Grove with her husband of over 30 years and her two daughters. Barbara's family are active members of St. Joseph Parish in Downers Grove. Barbara taught religious education for over 10 years, sang in the choir and also liked to cantor. Her favorite pasttimes are reading, traveling and family gatherings.

Teachers have the responsibility to guide each student to academic growth. We must be aware of each student's strengths and weaknesses. Our job is to give students the tools to be successful learners. More importantly, we should be modeling and teaching how to be disciples of Christ.
