“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
I believe that each child brings something unique to the classroom and it is the teacher’s job to make sure all those personalities are shown. This elementary age is a crucial time in a child’s life where they are truly finding themselves and although the content and curriculum are very important, caring for your students is of equal importance. Caring for your students involves not only the academic level but also on a social/ emotional and spiritual level. There are many diverse learners in our school system and having teachers that are well trained and educated in our general education classrooms can effectively reach all students by bringing in their culture and background into the classroom. Once the teacher can reach their students on that social/emotional and spiritual level, the academic level becomes less of a challenge.
