Miss Rachel Coppola graduated from Illinois State University in December of 2020 and has received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She is also endorsed in Special Education and English as a Second Language. During her junior year of college, it was by the grace of God that she was led to the Saint John Paul II Catholic Newman Center on campus. At this time, her faith was ignited in a way she had never experienced. As she continued attending and seeking out the Catholic faith, she was confident and so overjoyed that the Lord was asking more of her. This same year, she went through RCIA and received her First Communion at the Easter Vigil Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Mary in Peoria. This has left Rachel so much more in awe of her faith and love for Jesus as she has experienced the fullness of the faith. Rachel has lived in Naperville for 12 years and is so excited for the opportunity to be back to teach at Saints Peter and Paul. She feels extremely blessed to be able to be used by the Lord in this way as she enters her second year of teaching.
“Out of His fullness we have all received grace upon grace” John 1:16
“The joy of the Lord is my strength” Nehemiah 8:10
“She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue” Proverbs31:26
“Let all that you do be done in love” 1 Corinthians 16:14
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6
Rachel’s goal is to teach students far further than basic curriculum. She wants every child to be confident in not only who they are, but who they are as a beloved son or daughter of Christ. She wants to instill how deeply they are loved, cherished, and known, sharing her faith with her students. Her confirmation Saint is Saint Therese of Lisieux, who models for Rachel, as St.Therese did all things, both big and small, with extraordinary love. Rachel strives to embody this daily, especially for her students. Rachel could not be more excited for the opportunity to teach at Saints Peter and Paul. She is zealous about helping students grow in their education and love for Jesus.
