Mrs. Tricia Weis brings a genuine love and dedication for Catholic education. As a graduate of Saints Peter & Paul School, Mrs. Weis has a deep familiarity with the 167 years as a superb academic and faith community. She says returning to Saints Peter and Paul as principal has been a tremendous gift she never expected. She is overjoyed to begin the next chapter of her professional career at her alma mater, where her nine siblings/grandfather have graduated, and where she has received all her sacraments.
Mrs. Weis served as a principal in the Rockford Diocese for ten years as she began her administrative career. Upon returning to the Joliet Diocese, Mrs. Weis served St. Petronille Catholic School, and brings to her new position an extensive background in curriculum development and educational data & assessment practices. Mrs. Weis graduated from Augustana College receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, and her Master's of Education and Administrative license from the University of St. Francis. She is armed with impeccable credentials, exceptional recommendations, and a strong vision for extraordinary faith and academic programming. Mrs. Weis has a track record of providing significant enrollment increases, vibrant learning environments, and a cohesive working atmosphere wherein open and respectful communication is foundational. She shares that these achievements would not have been possible without the collaboration and support of the many priests, teachers and staff, parents and students, with whom she has been privileged to work.
Mrs. Weis and her husband Nick were married at Saints Peter and Paul Parish and have five children, all who have attended Catholic elementary and high schools. They are active members of St. Mary Immaculate Parish where they serve as extraordinary ministers, and marriage prep team members. They have been part of the Aurora marriage encounter group for the last 25 years. Mrs. Weis puts her heart and soul into the work God has called her to do. She looks forward to embracing the rich history at SSPP while building a bright future, focused on setting students and staff up for success! Her love for Jesus Christ and desire to spread His message of mercy and hope is evident in the rich Catholic culture she is honored to teach and bring to life as principal. Mrs. Weis finds tremendous joy in her vocation as an administrator, making it a priority to do "what is best for kids" while holding tightly to the tenets of the Catholic faith, where she believes ultimate peace and love flow from.
